How To Get Started

Main PC

Needed

The computer you play on. Your card goes in it, so it needs room for the card and a recent enough motherboard.

Requirements

A desktop, preferably. There are ways with laptops, but every one costs you something. Info below.
One free PCIe slot, with clear space below, above and beside it. Modern graphics cards are thick and often block the slots around them. Info below.
A motherboard from 2020 or newer, AMD or Intel.

Nothing gets installed on it and nothing about how you play changes.
Motherboards share specific PCIe slots with others and sometimes M.2 drives. Look at learn more to tell if you'll be fine or need to sacrifice some speed.
Laptops can be made to work, but we do NOT recommend it and will not support it. Learn more says why.

Second Computer

Needed

The machine that reads your card and runs the software. Any spare PC with 4 cores or more will do, as long as it isn't the one you play on.

Requirements

A USB 3 port. The card's cable plugs in there, so no PCIe slot is needed on this side.
A processor with 4 cores or more, and 8GB of memory minimum. 16GB is more than enough.
Windows 10 or 11.
Its own keyboard, mouse and a spare monitor.

An old desktop you already own, or a cheap used office mini PC, is usually plenty. We don't sell one. Your Second Computer lists good ones and what they cost.
Past 4 cores, a newer, faster processor is a better use of your money than more cores.
Give the card a USB 3 port that is sharing with the least amount of devices, Ex. devices in back DMA cord in front panel ports.
If you want your main PC's screen on this machine, leave a slot or a spare USB 3 port free for a capture card.

DMA Card

Needed

The link between your two computers. It goes in your main PC and plugs into your second one.

Requirements

A free PCIe slot in your main PC: x1, x4, x8 or x16.
A USB 3 port on your second computer. The cable comes in the box.

It reads your main PC's memory directly over the PCIe bus. That's what DMA, direct memory access, means.
It draws power from the slot. No extra cables and no power supply of its own.
Every card is tested before it ships, the box has everything you need in it, and shipping is free and tracked.
Ours is the GODLIKE 100T, the biggest of the three Artix-7 sizes, so firmware has the most room to work with.
Speed comes mostly from the USB link, not the chip. Cards like ours run at about 200 MB/s over USB 3.

Firmware

Needed

The code that lives on the card itself and makes it work.

Requirements

Your second computer, which is what you flash from.
A DMA card.

Info

Your card arrives with factory firmware on it. That is not the firmware you will run, so flashing is still a step you do.
Flashing is done from your second computer over the card's JTAG port, never from the PC the card is in.
It takes about ten minutes. Until it's done, DON'T boot your main PC into Windows with the card in. Stay in the BIOS.
Updates go out when they are actually needed, and while your card is in warranty.
In the BIOS, only Fast Boot has to be off. Leave everything else as it is.

Software

Needed

The program on your second computer that reads the game through your card. It is what you actually use while you play.

Requirements

Your second computer, which is where it runs. Nothing of ours goes on your main PC.
A DMA card with firmware on it.
Optional: an aim device if you want anything that moves your mouse, and a video fuser if you want the overlay on your main monitor.

We do not sell software. Blurred is the one we suggest, and you buy it from Blurred: Fortnite, Rust, GTA and FiveM, ARC Raiders and Call of Duty.

Aim Device

Not needed

Optional. Without one your second computer can read the game but can't move anything on your main PC.

Requirements

A USB port on both machines.
Your mouse or keyboard plugs into the device, not into your main PC. Wired, or wireless with its own USB receiver.
Software that supports MAKCU or FERRUM.

Info

It passes your real mouse through, so your main PC sees your mouse the hardware just moves it.
Nothing changes about how your mouse feels to use.
Look for a 1000Hz report rate and an API somebody still maintains. That's where people get stuck.
It can be added later without touching anything else in the setup.
We recommend MAKCU. FERRUM's one edge is 8000Hz, which only matters with an 8000Hz mouse.
FERRUM is KMBox B+ Pro compatible, so software made for a B+ Pro works with it.

Video Fuser

Not needed

Optional, and about comfort rather than function. It puts both machines on one screen so you aren't turning your head between two monitors.

Requirements

The right output on both computers: HDMI for the 10th Gen models, DisplayPort for the 4K Pro. Plus a free input on your monitor.
One rated for the resolution and refresh rate you play on.

Info

Check resolution and refresh together. Some do 4K at 60Hz or 1080p at 240Hz but not 1440p at 165Hz.
HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 carry high refresh at high resolution. HDMI 2.0 runs out sooner.
Buy this last. Get the card and the second computer working first.

Questions?

Yes. The card goes into the PC you play on, and a second machine reads it and runs the software. That separation is the whole idea, so one computer cannot do both.

The second one does not need to be powerful. A cheap used mini PC, an old office desktop or a laptop you stopped using is fine, as long as it has 4 cores or more, 8GB of memory and a USB 3 port. For MiTM it can't be a laptop. Your Second Computer lists good cheap ones.

If you have a desktop with a free PCIe slot and room around it, almost certainly. Slot length does not matter, the shortest one on the board is enough.

We would not go older than a board from 2020, and on AMD even B550 itself can be hit and miss. Your Main PC walks through checking yours in about five minutes.

It arrives pre-flashed with factory firmware, which is not the firmware you will actually run. Firmware is its own thing and its own expense, and you flash it yourself from your second computer.

It takes about ten minutes, and Flashing your firmware walks you through it.

No. It is a card in a slot and a cable out of the back of the case. If you have ever put a graphics card in, this is easier.
